Types of habitats within our valley

Dry Deciduous Forests

Home to two pack of Wild Dogs, denning this year with 8 pups, along with a host of herbivores like the Chowsinga (Above) and Sambar.

Sandbars

Sand Bars are perfect hosts to all kinds of  insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, as well as roots, bulbs and berries from the surrounding Riperian habitat. Perfect feeding grounds to Honey Badgers, and their pups.

Riparian Forests

Home to more than a dozen crocodiles, along with a vibrant diversity of fishes and nesting sites of Open bill storks, Pied Kingfishers and Teals.

Grasslands

Grazing areas to a wide range of herbivores including Gaur (above) as well as smaller cats and ground birds like Francolins & Sand Grouse.

Wetlands

Wetlands are extremely rich in biodiversity: waterbirds such as herons, egrets, swans, ducks and geese, and waders as well as provide Nesting sites for lesser whistling teals, open bill storks and pied kingfishers.
